Wild Hudson Valley was founded in 2013 to teach about the rich history and environment of the region in a fresh, new way. We lead workshops, forest farming classes, and walks that explore the Hudson River and Catskill Mountain landscape through the eyes of those who lived in these lands for thousands of years.
Our focus on the local indigenous relationship with the landscape makes our walks, workshops and classes totally unique. They are not your average nature walk or foraging class! Much of what we teach has been learned from the Munsee and Mohican peoples who called the Hudson Valley home for many centuries.
Come with us learn to about the natural world and its importance to native culture in the forests, mountains, meadows and wetlands of the magnificent Hudson River watershed.
