Local Indigenous Communities Today

Over two centuries ago, the native peoples of the Hudson and Delaware Valleys were already on their long forced exodus west. Today, descendants can be found in communities in Ontario, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma. Use the links below to learn more about the contemporary Lenape people. Although we at Wild Hudson Valley are not native (and we do not represent any native community), we work hard to support their efforts to visit their ancestral land and to represent themselves, their culture and their history.
