Wild Hudson Valley
Eco Camp

An immersive nature adventure...

Wild Hudson Valley is much more than a campground. We are a nature camp for all ages, inspiring learning and building connection through shared experiences in nature, history, and wild foods.

Eco Camp Activities

Enjoy the beauty and history of the Hudson Valley on our Forest Farm in the shadow of the Catskill Mountain Escarpment. Each weekend from spring to fall, Eco Camp programs get you closer to nature and connected to the rich history of the Hudson Valley.

  • Begin your weekend with our Friday Night Fire, complete with s'mores, story telling, and stargazing!

  • Join us for on-site Guided Walks & Workshops, typically two per weekend (see Events Calendar for dates & details)

  • Hike our trail network that meanders through meadows, woods, and alongside two creeks

  • Visit our Interpretive Center to browse displays on local ecology and indigenous history or borrow a book to read or game to play with your fellow campers

  • Tour our demonstration garden with traditional Hudson Valley varieties of corn, beans, squash and other ediblal and medicinal plants

  • Get out your fishing gear and wander along the cool, forested Jan de Bakker's Kill or deep, sunny Catskill Creek

  • Relax! Dip your toes in the water, swing back and forth under the shade of an ancient sycamore, and enjoy the glittering of fireflies over the meadow at night

Campsite Options

With only four campsites on the entire property, Eco Camp guests are guaranteed a private and personalized stay. Two of our campsites have furnished, glamping-style bell tents, and two sites are traditional bring-your-own tent sites. All four campsites include:

Glamping Site Amenities

With carefully selected furnishings, our bell tents are like a home away from home. Inside each spacious, waterproof canvas tent is a queen bed, a twin day bed, a twin trundle bed, two nightstands, and two solar-powered lanterns. Each reservation automatically includes two people, and tents sleep a maximum of four people. Groups of more than four are welcome to set up an extra tent at their campsite. A small fee will be charged for additional guests to cover their admission to programs and use of the facilities.

Glamping Extras

To ensure a comfortable nature experience for our guests, we can provide the following extras (select at checkout):

  • Linens/Bedding and Towels: Leave the sleeping bags at home! Enjoy organic cotton/bamboo sheets, comforters, pillows & towel sets (includes bath towels, hand towels & washcloths).

  • Cooler: Arrive at your campsite to find a large cooler (or two!) already full of ice!

  • Camp Chairs: Relax in transportable, comfortable camp chairs that fold up for trips to the creek.

Traditional Tent Site Amenities

Our bring-your-own tent sites have ample soft grass for setting up tents. Parking is right at your site, so there is no need to lug equipment back and forth from your car. Each reservation automatically includes two people, and each site accommodates up to eight people. Extra guests pay a small fee to cover their admission to programming and general use of the facilities.

Camping Extras

Maximize your downtime by adding some additional comforts to your reservation. All four of our sites can add the following items at checkout (subject to availability):

  • Breakfast Basket: Brighten your morning with seasonal fruit & an assortment of goodies from our favorite local bakery. Each order serves approximately two people, please add orders as needed for your group size. Dietary restrictions? Let us know.

  • Popcorn Making Kit: Make your own campfire popcorn! We provide delicious heirloom popcorn (sometimes grown on our farm), an old-fashioned campfire popcorn popper, salt and Hudson Valley organic sunflower oil.
