Wild Hudson Valley invites you to experience the natural history and breathtaking beauty of the Hudson Valley. Our eco-campground offers accommodations in spacious canvas tents with comfortable beds, guided walks and workshops, nature trails, and streams for fishing and recreation.

Site Amenities

There are only four campsites on the entire property, so you are guaranteed a personalized camping experience.

Campsite Amenities:

  • Large canvas tent

  • Queen platform bed

  • Two twin beds

  • Picnic table

  • Fire ring with grill

  • Firewood for your entire stay

  • Drinking water cooler

  • Lantern and string lights

  • Tongs, spatula, & grill brush

  • Fire Extinguisher

  • Space for additional tents to be set up

Shared Amenities:​

  • Canvas shelter with large communal fire pit

  • Trailside Museum with games, books, maps, and other amenities

  • Two portalettes with flushable toilets and sinks

  • Two outdoor showers with changing areas

  • Two-basin outdoor sink with sponge, dish soap and hand soap

  • Garbage/Recycling containers

Activities

With winding trails along the Catskill Creek and Jan de Bakker's Kill, our campers will find no shortage of spots to fish, picnic, and enjoy the cool, clear water. But Wild Hudson Valley is more than just a campground. Each weekend, three different outdoor experiences are included with your stay.

Friday Evening: Bonfire with s'mores, stargazing, and storytelling. 

Saturday Morning: Native Plant Walk, Farm & Sanctuary Tour for guests to see our farm and learn how Hudson Valley indigenous people thrived on these lands.

Sunday Morning: Hands-on Workshop! The theme of our workshops changes each weekend. See our Events Calendar for each weekend's topic.

Packing Guide

Wild Hudson Valley offers diverse activities and events, and it is important for you to come prepared. Campers should bring:

  • Pillows

  • Bedding (sheets/blankets or sleeping bags)

  • Bath and beach towels

  • Portable camp/beach chairs 

  • Headlamp/flashlight

  • Toiletries and bug spray

  • Lighter/matches

  • Outdoor clothing (it gets chilly at night)

  • Outdoor footwear

  • Swim shoes (the creek is slippery and rocky)

  • Food/drinks and dishes/utensils/cups

Camping Extras

You can also choose from the following add-on items at checkout (subject to availability).

  • Pillows and bedding

  • Bath and beach towels

  • Cooler with ice ready at your campsite

  • Breakfast Basket with local baked goods and fruit

  • Locally-raised meat for grilling

  • Weekday nature walks (since educational activities are only offered on weekends)

FAQ

Covid-19 Update

Wild Hudson Valley staff and campers must work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience for all during these difficult times. We follow WHO and CDC recommendations, including handwashing, safe physical distancing, and mask wearing.

 

Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses.

 

Lodging: After our campers depart, we follow thorough disinfecting protocols to make sure that every tent is fresh and clean before the next camper arrives.

 

Public Spaces and Check Ins: We also thoroughly clean and disinfect our few public indoor spaces, focusing especially on door handles and bathrooms.

 

Mask Wearing: We have a strict, mask-on policy during all walks and workshops.
