About the Event
Come with us and learn how to find and distinguish all sorts of hickory nuts, acorns, walnuts and berries! As on our usual Sunday morning walks, visitors will also learn how Hudson Valley indigenous people thrived on these lands and how we can thrive on them today by taking care of the landscape. This is a gentle, two-hour long walk through forest, wetland, and field. Don't forget to wear comfortable walking shoes!
Check-in by 10:00 AM at the parking area near the greenhouse. (Follow directions to Abandoned Airport Road, Cairo, NY 12431. Turn left, and continue down driveway until greenhouse is reached).
As always, this event (and all on-farm events) are included with camping reservations.
