Night in the Forest

Join us for a night walk through the fields and forests of our farm. Early August is a particularly special time of year for a night walk: as the fireflies disappear, the forest canopy grows loud with a magical chorus of katydids and other insect species. Come learn about these insects, owls, flying squirrels, and other creatures of the night.

We will be walking on the smoothest trails at a slow pace, so no need for artificial light! (We will have flashlights on hand, just in case).

Proper protective footware is a must.

Check-in by 8:00 PM at the parking area near the greenhouse. (Follow directions to Abandoned Airport Road, Cairo, NY 12431. Turn left, and continue down driveway until greenhouse is reached).

As always, this event (and all on-farm events) are included with camping reservations.
