Native Plant Walk, Farm & Sanctuary Tour
Time & Location
About the Event
On our Saturday morning walks, visitors learn how Hudson Valley indigenous people thrived on these lands and how we can thrive on them today with sustainable agricultural practices. This is a gentle, two-hour long walk through forest, wetland, and field, including a tour of our agroforestry operations and medicinal herb farm. We will explore topics ranging from Mohican plant names to wild-simulated native herb cultivation. Don't forget to wear comfortable walking shoes!
Check-in by 10:00 AM at the parking area near the greenhouse.
(Follow directions to Abandoned Airport Road, Cairo, NY 12431. Turn left, and continue down driveway until greenhouse is reached).
