About the Event

For generations, the Lenape People stewarded their lands in the Hudson Valley, creating a landscape diverse in habitat and species and rich in natural resources. Over the past three centuries, the post-colonial Hudson Valley landscape has been drastically altered by more destructive and exploitative environmental practices. And yet, the legacy of the Lenape People is still visible in the region's rich plant diversity. Join us for a presentation exploring what once was, and how we can learn from traditional Native land management methods to create a more biodiverse, resilient landscape today.
