About the Event

A handful of fascinating creatures once inhabited the Catskill Mountain region, but have disappeared over the last three centuries. Join us for an evening presentation at the Rensselaerville Library to learn about these animals, their impact on local ecosystems, and their role in Northeastern Native people's folklore and land use. About the speaker: Justin Wexler of Wild Hudson Valley has spent the last 20 years conducting archival and ethnographic research to understand the history, culture, and land-use practices of the native people of the Hudson and Delaware Valleys.

This event is free (donations to the library are appreciated) and no pre-registration is required.
