How to Take a Leek: A Ramp Stewardship Workshop
Join us for a workshop all about ramps! We'll find wild plants growing on our farm, discuss how to sustainably harvest and propagate them, and taste some ramp snacks! Every participant will go home with ramp bulbs for transplanting in their own woods.

About the Event
For this special workshop, we will be teaching about the odoriferous ramp/wild leek (Allium tricoccum): the plant's lifecycle, best harvesting practices, and how to plant and grow it. After a hands-on planting demo and some ramp-based snacks, participants will return home with ramp bulbs of their own for transplanting! Bring comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, as this workshop will take place entirely in the woods.
Advance registration for this event is required. Please do not attend if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to someone with COVID.
