About the Event
Join us as we explore the forest, wetlands and meadows of our Eco Camp and imagine the world as it was five centuries ago. In the old days, by summer's end Hudson Valley Native peoples were enjoying their first harvests of crops from their cornfields, gathering wild fruits, and spending lots of time socializing, fishing and swimming in local streams. On this guided walk, we will learn all about day-to-day life in the Late Woodland period, with each plant, animal and rock we encounter helping to weave the story together and ultimately connecting to the displaced Lenape communities of today. Make sure to wear comfortable, sturdy footwear!
